Do something about it.

Last week the Big Lunch Extras team from The Eden Project took me on a mystery tour up to Northfleet, next to the Thanes in North Kent.
An ex-colleague of mine, Peter Scollard, works (often unpaid) with other volunteers to improve their community environment and open spaces, sometimes without any permission from anywhere!

It was a huge surprise to see Pete, and for him to see me (he didn't know I was coming up either) and to see the work he, and Carl, Gary, Kelly and team are doing to improve local open spaces and improve morale in the community.

It was inspiring to meet so many other people and groups that Big Lunch Extras help and mentor during the presentations and an absolute pleasure to deliver a Drawingonthings art workshop in Wallace Gardens Housing Estate nearby!

Tonight

TONIGHT on The Cosmic Arts Show (8-10pm 96.1fm in Falmouth and Penryn and online at www.thesourcefm.co.uk/listen)

The Aggie Boys Choir 1st anniversary live party special!! The whole band are in the studio singing live throughout the show, and playing music (this could be a very good it very bad thing!) Sophie Maher from Eden Project's Garden Jam tells me what I have in store next weekend! Sue Grayson Ford from the Campaign For Drawing is live on the phone explaining what the conference I went to last weekend at the National Gallery was all about! I find out if Falmouth's own (female) Clark Kent, Georgie Carter has forgiven me  enough to tell us what's going on around Cornwall??!! And, did he make it back from "abroad" in one peice? If he did, we might hear from George from Penzance!

It's all going on tonight!! Don't miss it!

--The Cosmic Art Show--

Every Friday 8-10pm 96.1fm

on your radio in Falmouth

and Penryn and online at www.thesourcefm.co.uk/listen throughout the multiverse!

The Cosmic Art Show Skateboarding Special!!

Mount Hawke Skatepark, Cornwall
Right. I'm going to do a Skate special Cosmic Art Show on the Source 96.1fm radio 8-10pm this Friday night (27th sept) before this weekend's Urban Festival at Heartlands, Redruth.

Listen LIVE (8-10pm Friday) here: http://www.thesourcefm.co.uk/listen or on 96.1fm in and around Falmouth, Cornwall.
Workshops at skateparks.

Every week The Cosmic Art Show I report on art happenings (a bit), talk to people I've recently met (a lot), play loads of music (often by those I just met) and generally hang out and have fun (lots!).
Skate art.
I'm running the ART STREET area at the Urban Festival where you can learn and practice street art techniques. Art has always had a big role in skateboarding and skating has been a big influence in my artwork. Also at Heartlands there will be BMX demos, dancing, live music, DJs, MCs and lots more.

Skateboard graphics by Cosmic.

I will get as many pro skaters, bmxers, artists, dj's and musicians to appear on the show and have loads of skate related music, clips and comments. Call in during the show on 01326 219020!

In the beginning there was art and skating.
If you have anything important to add to the show and want to contact me before, you can message me at cosmicimagesok @ gmail.com

Called up to the factory...

I called into Beachbeat and Laminations surfboard factory this week to paint some boards and when nobody was looking I made some improvements to the place!

The Scallywagon

Head to almost any festival this year and you can find these guys having the time of your life!!

I sprayed up their tour van, known universally as the Scallywagon, when I was at buddhafield festival as their artist-in-residence.

Aggie Surf Shop's Cosmic Wall!

From the Great British Legends of Street Art Guide:
"Look out on your next visit to St Agnes, Cornwall as you weave between engine houses, Cornish choughs, miners and pastys you will find this little gem on the side of the surf shop!" Cheeky beggars!

Right Kids!! Spray Paint The Corridors!!!

Such a good project this week at St Ives Junior School!
70 year 6 students designed images, including a re-vamp of their logo, and spray painted them on their corridors as a lasting legacy for future students.
I helped a bit, but all the ideas are theirs and represent positive (and fun) messages for their predecessors.

Smallworld festival

Well this was an experience! I headed off to the Kent countryside armed with a van full of paint, materials and a gazeebo.

Small World solar stage festival is unreal. It uses as much electric from the grid as a kettle! Words fail me.

I'll be back!
